Elaine Tanner stands high on Beaver Mountain, the home she and her friend Jimmy are working to heal in the wake of destructive coal mining. Years of legal fights seeking justice for the damaged mountain have produced some results, but the pair to the property in 2019 with a number of plans and a lot of hope; all in pursuit of restoring the heart of a mountain Jimmy’s family and Elaine’s Cherokee ancestors once called home.
